At Christ Presbyterian Church, our desire is to be a catalyst for your worship experience. With the knowledge that we all have different backgrounds and ideas of what an accommodating worship environment is made, we strive to provide a worship experience that draws you closer to our Lord. We are also very aware that the Bible prefers no certain musical style, as it only puts forth standards for the message that is being communicated and not the mode of communication. Therefore, our worship service is of a blended nature offering varied music styles that are relative to members and guests, allowing the Holy Spirit to work within each person on an individual basis through music.
We feel that it is important for each person to know that it is his/her responsibility to come prepared to meet God at public worship. Although the worship leaders seek to usher the body into the presence of God, each person should come “primed”. Think about your Sunday morning starting on Saturday night. What practical things can you do to make your arrival to worship more peaceful? What can you do to leave the cares of the world behind so that you can focus on God? Do you come with an expectancy of meeting with the Living God? (If you were being ushered into the Oval Office to meet with the president, would you arrive as you do for worship?) Have you confessed your known sins so your communication with God is open? Have you taken time to “be still and know that He is God” and listened to His voice for conviction of sin? Are you right with your fellow believers?
